Welcome

The Parish Church of Saint Mary the Virgin offers you a warm welcome. In this holy place, where the people of Henley have come for nearly a thousand years to pray and to bring their hopes and joys, their fears and sorrows, where the sacraments of the Church have been celebrated throughout the ages, strengthening the people of God and supporting them on their pilgrimage, we hope and pray that you too may find the peace of God and the assurance of His presence.

Our main weekly service is at 9:30am on Sunday, and we welcome visitors of all ages. We are part of the United Benefice of Henley with Remenham in the Church of England - our sister church is St Nicholas' in Remenham, a short distance away on the other side of the river. Fr Martyn Griffiths is the Rector of both churches.

We have recently launched a new fundraising campaign to finance urgent and costly repair work to the church roofs and the drainage system. The "Heart of Henley - St Mary's Conservation Fund" needs to raise £750,000 over the next 5 years to preserve the integrity of this beautiful, historic building. The church receives no state funding so we rely on the generosity of individuals, companies and trusts to provide the necessary financial support. All donations are gratefully received.
