THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST MARY THE VIRGIN, HENLEY-ON-THAMES

Church at Home – Trinity Sunday

We can’t gather at St Mary’s for our usual Sunday service, but we can all join a collective act of worship from our homes. You can do this at 9:30am or 11:15am on Sunday morning, or whenever else is convenient.

This Sunday, 7th June, is Trinity Sunday. Welcome to our service!

You can now find links to parts of the service which Fr Jeremy has recorded on video. Our Youtube channel, containing our videos, can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF0WRLKWtkgWJjZw_d4S6Mw

Sing along to our hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy”, recorded by some members of the choir. Click the triangular play button below to hear the music; the words are:

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!

Holy, Holy, Holy! all the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

Holy, Holy, Holy! though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy, there is none beside thee
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!

Church at Home is an experiment, an attempt to keep our community together while the Covid-19 virus disrupts our normal life. We thought the new name “Church at Home” was a bit more welcoming than “Remote Church”. If you have suggestions on how to improve this, or would like to record part of next week’s service, please do let us know by commenting below or emailing info@stmaryshenley.org.uk.

Many thanks to those of you who attended last week’s Church at Home and left comments and suggestions for how it could be improved.

The Oxford Diocese have a livestreaming page which can be accessed at www.oxford.anglican.org and there will be a Diocesan Eucharist livestreamed this Sunday at 10 am. The service from Christchurch Cathedral can be found at https://www.chch.ox.ac.uk/oxfords-cathedral/online-worship.

Sacred Heart will be livestreaming Mass on Sunday morning (10.30 a.m.). See Sacred Heart’s website.
